Snow Skiing at its Finest

Submitted by Jack, Troop 20 Historian

Over the weekend of January 23 – 25 we had a few exciting adventure.  Scouts, Jack, Nick M., Kolin Stephen,  Paul,  Will, Mike, Clayton, Edward, Nick V., and one of Stephen’s friends Jordan and Will’s cousin Jim.  Everyone drove up on the night of Friday the 23rd and we all arrived at the cabin at Big Bear at 10 or so.  Everyone hung out for about 2 hours then went to bed.  The next morning Jack’s dad and Stephen Priest’s dad are parked on this very steep ice slicked driveway.  As Jacks dad pulls out he is sliding down the mountain but then gets locked in the snow so everyone had to hope dearly that he wouldn’t be harmed but he got down safely.  Then Stephens dad went down and he was wedged in between 2 trees and then Jacks dad had two pull him down with a cable.  Then after the excitement we all went skiing and snowboarding.

We all met back at the car at 4 and headed back to the cabin.  Then all the boys went sledding down the driveway it was cool!  Everyone stayed up until 1 am talking and playing cards.  And on the last morning we cleaned the cabin built a sledding track down the hill and then left.  Good Bye Big Bear see you again soon.
