·          Mission Trails was chosen for our first campout of the year.  It’s a great place with some fabulous hiking. 

·          We camped at the Kumeyaay Campground on the northern end of Mission Gorge. Nine Scouts and several parents attended.

·          The highlight was a rugged hike up Kwaay Paay Peak which sits on the southeast side of the Mission Gorge.  We bouldered up the steep gorge to get some great views from the summit (1194’).

·          The food was great, following our normal practice of the Scouts cooking their own meals.
