The Scouts met 5:45am at the scout room and caravanned down to H&M Landing next door to Pt. Loma Seafood to catch the 6:30am boat. We lucked into an annual weekend that waived fishing licenses and boys under 15 were free! The weather was cool and nice through most of the day. We stopped at the bait barge on the way out to get anchovies and squid and then worked our way out the San Diego channel past the USS John Stennis (CVN-74) waiting offshore and onto the fishing locations offshore. We moved several times from spot to spot to find better fishing. We saw Seals or Sea Lions swimming around the boat and in some cases ate our bait.
